We host many different types of photo sessions at The Grantham House from family portraits, first birthdays, senior portraits, to engagement sessions. When the photo sessions are finished it is always fun to get to see the final product. I love seeing the laughing children playing in the fall leaves, the families posed with the red barn in the background. Without fail though, my favorite photos are always the bridal sessions.
Maybe I’m a little partial to brides, being that The Grantham House is an outdoor wedding venue. But I like to think that there is more to it than that.
Bridal sessions are taken a few months prior to the wedding day. It’s the first time the bride has put on her dress after the endless alterations. She’s taken the time to get her hair and make up done and her bouquet is ready. After all of the dreaming and planning she finally gets to see herself as a bride with all of the details put together for the first time.
The family of the bride will often attend the session, and I love seeing the looks on their faces when they see her for the first time. The bride is beaming with the anticipation of her new life to come, and there is always so much excitement in the air. I love getting to be a part of these sessions.
Whitney got married to Chris at The Grantham House this fall, but before her wedding day she had her bridal portraits taken here by Evan Daniels Photography.
The final outcome was stunning. Whitney was such a beautiful bride and Evan captured her day perfectly.
