Emily and Michael’s wedding was absolutely perfect.  They said ” I do” on a gorgeous fall day, surrounded by family and friends.  Aster Blooms Photography was there to capture all of the magic of their perfect day.

How it Began

Emily and Michael were first introduced through two of their friends.  She jokes that their first meeting was a little awkward because they both knew that their friends were trying to set them up.

As all good millennial love stories go, Emily and Michael exchanged Snap Chat names, which later led to him driving an hour and a half to take her out to dinner.

That one dinner was all it took.  In Emily’s words,  “the rest was history”.  Instinctively, they both knew they had found “the one”.

After dating for a time, Michael proposed and the wedding planning began.

Once they were engaged, Emily and Michael began planning their dream wedding. Emily knew that she wanted to get married close to her hometown of Goldsboro, NC and that she wanted the experience of being married at an outdoor wedding venue. After a brief search, Emily found the  The Grantham House.

After booking a tour, Emily and Michael, along with some family, came to visit The Grantham House. We walked the property and listened to what she envisioned for her special day. We toured the house, and it didn’t take long for the new couple to decide that The Grantham House would be the place where their new family would begin.

Family. That is exactly the reason we love hosting weddings. The wedding is the beginning of a marriage. Marriage is the beginning of a family.

Emily and Michael’s wedding was all about just that, family. It was a privilege to see how hard each family worked to make Emily and Michael’s vision for their wedding become a reality. You could tell how much they all loved each other and were so happy for Emily and Michael to begin their new lives together.

The wedding was perfect. The bride was gorgeous. The guests were happy, and now Emily and Michael are living their happily ever after.
