Every wedding that we host at The Grantham House is special and unique to the couple. Jerri was looking for an outdoor wedding venue with a boho feel and The Grantham House was a perfect fit.
We had such a great time getting to know Jerri and Jimmy during their wedding planning process. When their big day came we were so excited for them that we felt like we were a part of the family.
The Love Story Begins
Jimmy and Jerri met in high school when he was helping out with the girls soccer team, where Jerri was the goalie. Jerri soon realized that Jimmy “happened” to be spending most of his time focusing on the goalie exercises.
Their relationship began shortly after high school and they dated through their next four years of college. Jimmy proposed to Jerri on Senior Day during halftime of his football game at Campbell University.
Jerri and Jimmy are so loved by their family and friends. That was evident in the way they all worked together to make their day perfect. They built benches, decorated tables, and helped hang lights. You could feel the love and support from everyone that came to celebrate Jerri and Jimmy’s new life together.
The Wedding
The wedding day was beautiful and sunny leading up to the wedding and through the ceremony. Just as the reception was beginning, the rain began to fall. While some couples may see rain as a disapointment, Jerri, Jimmy, and their guests decided to get out and dance in the rain. They didn’t let a little rain ruin their day, instead they embraced the rain and it became one of the highlights of the wedding. They were all there to celebrate Jerri and Jimmy and that’s what they did.
We are so thankful that The Grantham House had the opportunity to be a part of their story. It’s always a joy to get to join in the celebration with family and friends.
